MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – The Minsk authorities are planning a campaign advertising Minsk as a tourism destination in the cities twinned with the Belarusian capital, Nina Yemelyanova, the head of the trade and services department at the Minsk City Hall, told media, BelTA has learned.
“Visit Minsk billboards have been designed by the Minskreklama company. We are planning to get them installed in the sister cities of Minsk. This will help bring more visitors from other countries to the Belarusian capital,” said Nina Yemelyanova.
Minsk has already sent letters asking to install such billboards to the city halls of Tbilisi, Riga and St. Petersburg. Billboards inviting tourists to visit Minsk will be also installed on busy highways at the entry points to Belarus.
Minsk has developed the concept for outdoor advertising in 2016-2020. According to the concept, the city will make an increasing use of digital billboards, high-tech advertising installations using media facades, LED installations, light (laser) equipment, and projection screens.
