MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) - Minsk has been named a top tourist destination in the CIS this autumn, BelTA learned from the analytical agency Turstat.
The ranking of the CIS top cities for traveling in autumn 2017 is based on the number of hotel bookings. Apart from Minsk, the top ten included Astana (Kazakhstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Yerevan (Armenia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Kiev (Ukraine), Chisinau (Moldova), and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
According to Turstat, tourists book autumn holidays in Minsk for an average of 2.5 days and spend $70 on accommodation per day.
The cheapest CIS cities for tourists are Bishkek and Chisinau, the most expensive are Astana and Baku.
