MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) - Minsk became the most popular destination for Russian travelers during the November holidays, the Russian tourist online service Travel.ru told BelTA.
The top 10 most popular cities in November included Minsk, Riga, Helsinki, Prague, Chisinau, London, Berlin, Barcelona, Budapest and Rome.
"Belarus is not only leading in the ranking of foreign countries for the Russians to travel in November but is the most affordable destination for travel," said Communications Director at Travel.ru. Yakov Sadchikov
According to the online service, in the first days of November the most inexpensive foreign destination for Russian tourists was Belarus (RUB2,000 per accommodation per day), Poland (RUB2,200) and Lithuania (RUB2,500).
The three most popular Russian cities by number of hotel reservations during the first week of November included Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan.
The rating is made based on the number of hotel reservations made by Russian tourists traveling independently from 1 till 7 November.
Travel.ru is one of the largest travel services in the CIS with a monthly audience of 1.5 million people.
