MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) - Minsk was the CIS top destination among Russian tourists this summer season, the Russian online booking service Oktogo.ru told BelTA.
According to Oktogo.ru, the top 10 most popular cities in the CIS in August also included Tbilisi, Almaty, Kiev, Yerevan, Baku, Astana, Bishkek, Chisinau and Tashkent. Russian tourists traveling independently, not through travel agencies, spend an average of four days in these cities.
Russian tourists spend on average RUB3,000 on accommodation in Minsk per day. The most budget city for travel is Bishkek (RUB1,200), while the most expensive is Baku (over RUB6,000).
The rating is made based on the number of hotel reservations made by Russian tourists from 1 till 31 August 2015.
