MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – Minsk has been named among the top three cities in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) popular with Russian travelers during the May holidays, BelTA learned from the analytics agency TurStat.
The top ten CIS cities popular with Russian visitors include Baku (Azerbaijan), Minsk (Belarus), Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan), Yerevan (Armenia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Chisinau (Moldova), Dushanbe (Tajikistan) and Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).
TurStat reports that Russian tourists go to the CIS cities for the average of three to five days in May. The vacation costs Russian tourists some $60-120 per day.
Russia’s May holidays fall on 1-5 May and 9-12 May.
