MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – Minsk Days will be celebrated in St Petersburg on 11-13 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk City Hall.
Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets is expected to meet with St Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko. The parties are set to sign a roadmap of trade, economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation through 2020. The administrations of Minsk’s Frunzensky District and Kurortny District of St Petersburg, and also Tsentralny District of St Petersburg and Tsentralny District of Minsk will sign cooperation programs as well.
On 12 September the Business Cooperation Forum meeting will focus on the trade, economic and investment potential of the capital. Attending the meeting will be OAO Health Initiative, Belorusky Sputnik, Tsentrkurort, Belkommunmash Holding Company, Minskkhlebprom and others. Bellegprom Holding Company will showcase its collection of flax clothes.
A Belarusian fair featuring more than 40 Minsk companies will be deployed in the square near the metro station Prospekt Bolshevikov on 11-16 September.
Other events will include a photo exhibition “Minsk: Revived History” by the Minsk History Museum, friendlies in basketball, volleyball, table tennis and rhythmic gymnastics. Specialists in healthcare and education will hold roundtables and visit relevant agencies.
Minsk Days abroad has become an annual tradition. In 2013-2017 Minsk Days were held in Moscow, Riga, Milan (during Expo 2015), St. Petersburg, Belgrade, Omsk, and Moscow.
