MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Minsk and Brest are among the top ten most popular destinations for CIS tourists in winter, BelTA learned from the analytical agency TurStat.
The rating is based on the analysis of the popularity of tourist trips this winter. The CIS Top 10 most popular tourist cities in winter includes Minsk, Almaty, Astana, Baku, Yerevan, Tashkent, Bishkek, Brest, Chisinau and Ganja.
Weekend tours to the capitals of the CIS countries are popular with tourists. So are tours to ski resorts: Chimbulak in Kazakhstan, Shahdag and Tufandag in Azerbaijan, Silichi and Logoisk in Belarus.
According to the analytical agency, tourists come to Belarus in winter for 3 days on average and spend $70 per day.
The budget destinations for tourists in the CIS are Brest and Bishkek, the most expensive cities are Astana and Baku.
