MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – Mines ParisTech has provided exhibits for the exposition Ignacy Domeyko – A Titan of Science in Mir Castle. The exhibits are related to the activity of the famous Belarusian-born scientist, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in France.
On the initiative of the Belarusian embassy in France, cooperation was established with Mines ParisTech to organize in the town of Mir an exhibition of minerals and original documents compiled by Belarus-born scientist Ignacy Domeyko during his studies and cooperation with Mines ParisTech. The French educational institution has provided several dozens of unique exhibits for the exposition in Mir Castle, which will stay open through 30 September.
At present the embassy is preparing a visit of a representative of Mir Castle to Mines ParisTech with a view to expand cooperation in preserving and popularizing the memory of Ignacy Domeyko.
