Marozava advances to San Diego Open quarterfinal

MINSK, 29 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Lidziya Marozava and Belgium’s Kimberley Zimmermann went off to a good start defeating the Italian duo of Angelica Moratelli and Camilla Rosatello, 1-6, 6-1, 10-7 in the San Diego opener, BelTA has learned.

In the quarterfinal the Belarusian-Belgian tandem will face Australia’s Ellen Perez and Nicole Melichar-Martinez of the United States.

In the round of Last 16 in Austin Belarus’ Iryna Shymanovich and Maia Lumsden of the UK lost to Russian players Irina Khromacheva and Jana Sizikova, 0-6, 1-6.

The two tennis tournaments will be over on 3 March.
