MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 529 on 30 December concerning the president’s special award Belarusian Sports Olympus 2015, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

In recognition of the great contribution to the popularization of physical education and sport, the development of physical education and sports traditions that promote harmonious development of a person, the award has been presented to Sergei Kanashits, the editor of the sports department of the Sovetskaya Belorussiya newspaper; Viktor Kapitonov, a coach of the rowing and canoeing department the Mogilev regional center of Olympic reserve for rowing sports, and Marina Litvinchuk, an athlete-instructor of the national rowing and canoeing team.
