MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – Ice arenas in Belarus should generate tangible results, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting with the members of the public, representatives of the Belarusian and foreign mass media on 3 February, BelTA has learned.
“All sorts of innuendos that too many ice arenas have been built in Belarus are worthless. We have built them for people,” the head of state noted.
The President stressed that he wants ice arena to generate tangible results. These and other sport facilities are built in Belarus to promote health and encourage people, including young people, to take up sports. “I want children in Belarus to know how to hold a hockey stick, how to skate and even how to mountain ski,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
