Lukashenko congratulates Belarusian team on great results at ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships

MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the Belarusian national canoe sprint team, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“I congratulate you on great performance at the 2019 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Szeged where you won 14 medals, including 6 gold medals. You have demonstrated once again that the Belarusian team is one of the world’s leaders in the sport. This became possible thanks to high professionalism and hard work of athletes, coaches and specialists,” the head of state stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the national team would approach the 2020 Olympics well-prepared. He also wished the athletes strong health, wellbeing and new achievements in sport.
