PINSK DISTRICT, 4 October (BelTA) – Belarus should erect a monument to a cow to demonstrate great appreciation for the contribution of this animal to providing people with food, especially in difficult times, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he visited the Parokhonskoye agricultural enterprise in Pinsk District on 4 October, BelTA has learned.
“A monument to a cow should be erected. Partisans and children survived thanks to a cow. After the war, we survived thanks to a cow. A cow still feeds us. A cow is sacred. For me, it is sacred,” the Belarusian leader said.
During the visit to the enterprise, the president discussed in detail forage procurement and preservation based on the experience of Parokhonskoye. Aleksandr Lukashenko also spoke about the cow living in his farm. The cow was recently gifted to him by Brest Oblast. Her milk yield was so high that her diet had to be adjusted to reduce the load.
