MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) – Lithuania will open four visa centers in Belarus in January, BelTA learned from the Lithuanian Embassy in Belarus.
The Lithuanian visa application center in Minsk started working on 19 January. The center in Grodno will open on 22 January, in Gomel on 26 January, and in Brest on 29 January.
Therefore, the Schengen visa applicants going to Lithuania and Greece may submit visa applications to the visa application center at the place of residence. Preliminary registration is not required. The visa application fee is paid in Belarusian rubles.
However, citizens of the Republic of Belarus, foreign citizens and stateless persons with a temporary or permanent residence in Belarus can continue to contact the Embassy of Lithuania in Belarus on visa matters. When applying for the Schengen visa at the Embassy pre-registration is required. Family members (spouses, minor children, including adopted children) of the citizens of Lithuania or the EU (the European economic area and Switzerland), persons over 65 and disabled persons may submit visa applications at the Embassy without prior registration.
Applications and supporting documents for the national (long-term) type D visas are submitted only at the Embassy without prior registration on any reception day from 9.00 till 12.00.
