MINSK, 8 October (BelTA) – A script lab will be organized at the 24th Minsk International Film Festival on 6 November, BelTA learned from the organizers.
The Bel:Cinema industry platform of the MIFF Listapad is currently accepting the projects for the script lab. Among the jury members and invited guests are specialists with extensive experience in the international market, representatives of the most important film festivals and industries of Europe.
The Bel:Cinema pitch event will be held at the Art Belarus Gallery on 6 November. Directors and producers are invited to participate with their projects. The international experts will discuss the works and give practical advice regarding the promotion of projects. The jury will comprise Rita Stanelite, the director of the Meeting Point - Vilnius industry platform of the Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris, Hugo Rosak, the director of the Film Industry Office at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and Yulia Sinkevich, the general producer of the Odessa International Film Festival.
To participate in the Listapad MIFF industry platform, applicants need to fill out an application at the website of the film festival. Experts will choose the works to participate in the script lab. The names of the selected participants will be announced at the end of October.
Last year the industry platform of the MIFF Listapad hosted a script lab of documentary projects, five winners of which were presented at the Meeting Point - Vilnius mediated by B2B DOC.
The 24th edition of the Minsk international film festival Listapad will take place on 3-10 November under the Truth, Love, and Beauty slogan. Listapad has been established by the Belarusian Culture Ministry and Minsk City Hall in cooperation with the National TV and Radio Company, the National Film Studio Belarusfilm, and the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers. The festival is organized by the visual and performing arts center ART Corporation.
