MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – The IBU Congress will name the hosts of the IBU World Championships in 2024 and 2025 on 14 November, BelTA learned from the official website of the organization.
Bidding to host the 2025 edition are the Raubichi Sport Center in Minsk District and Switzerland’s Lenzerheide, which regularly hosts Alpine Skiing World Cup events.
Nove Mesto in the Czech Republic is the only candidate for the 2024 event. The World Championships in the 2025/2026 season will not take place because of the Olympics.
Raubichi hosted the IBU World Championships in 1974, 1982, and 1990. Raubichi is to host the IBU World Cup in February 2022.
