MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – Lake Naroch has been named among the top three resort destinations in the Commonwealth of Independent States popular with Russian travelers for summer 2018, BelTA learned from the analytics agency TurStat.
The top five of CIS resorts popular with Russian visitors includes Burabai (Borovoye) (Kazakhstan), Lake Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan), Lake Naroch (Belarus), Bilgah beaches on the Caspian Sea coast (Azerbaijan), and Lake Sevan (Armenia).
TurStat reports that Russian tourists go to CIS resorts to vacation for the period of 7 to 14 days. The vacation costs from $50 to $100 per day. The cheapest is Issyk Kul ($50) and most expensive Bilgah resorts on the Caspian Sea ($100). The travel budget for holidays at Belarus' Lake Naroch is estimated $75 per day. The majority of the Russian tourists who visit the CIS resorts live in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Moscow Oblast, southern Urals and Siberia.
The ranking was compiled based on the analysis of tourist arrivals to the resorts.
