GOMEL, 28 June (BelTA) – Nearly 300 participants from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine will attend the international children’s camp of peace, friendship and Slavic youth Krynichka near Rogachev on 29 June-7 July, BelTA learned from the Gomel Oblast Office of the Belarusian Peace Foundation.
The Belarusian Peace Foundation in partnership with the Rogachev District Executive Committee has been holding the children’s camp of peace, friendship and Slavic youth for the past 25 years. Taking part in its 25th edition will be school students from Gomel and Rogachev District, St Petersburg, Kursk, Kotelniki of Moscow Oblast, Novograd-Volynsky of Zhitomir Oblast. The camp will be arranged near Lake Dobroye, Khodosovichi village.
The solemn opening will be held on 30 June with the execution of state anthems and raising of flags of the participating countries. A rich program has been prepared for the kids: festivals of art, national cultures and traditions, Day of Peace and Friendship, sports events and intellectual contests, peacemaking meetings. On 3 July the children will take part in the festive events to mark Belarus Independence Day and to celebrate the 875th anniversary of the town of Rogachev.
