MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – Representatives of the Eurovision Song Contest Supervisory Board discussed in Minsk the organization of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which will be hosted by the Belarusian capital in November 2018, BelTA learned from the press service of Belteleradiocompany.
The guests met with Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Ivan Eismont in President Hotel, which will house the Euroclub of the international children's contest and will host the delegations of participants. The members of the Supervisory Board visited the Belexpo Center considered as the venue for the opening ceremony of the forum, and Minsk-Arena viewed as one of the venues to host the song contest.
“The Supervisory Board praised the work done by Belteleradiocompany in the development of the concept and idea for the show, the logo and the slogan, its social program and security issues,” the press service noted.
As BelTA reported earlier, in January Eurovision Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand visited Belarus. The current delegation includes members of the Eurovision Supervisory Board from Russia, the Netherlands, Georgia, Malta, Italy, as well as representatives of Digame (Germany), Scrn (UK), Premier (UK) and Eurovision Assistant Executive Supervisor Gert Kark.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will be held in Belarus in November 2018. The organizer and coordinator of the forum is the National State TV and Radio Company. The live broadcast of the opening ceremony will be available in the HD format for the participating countries of the European Broadcasting Union.
