MINSK, 8 May (BelTA) – Japanese regions are planning to take part in the Alexandria Gathers Friends festival, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Japan Ruslan Yesin said in an interview with BelTA.
“In the near future, representatives of a number of Japanese regions are planning to participate in the tenth investment forum Mill of Success and the folk festival Alexandria Gathers Friends,” Ruslan Yesin said.
According to him, in 2017 the embassy together with Belarusian regions did a great job to expand bilateral cooperation with Japanese cities. Direct working contacts were established with the governors and mayors of the capitals of prefectures of Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Hokkaido. Proposals have been made to develop contacts between Mogilev Oblast and the regions of Kansai and Kyushu , Gomel Oblast and Tohoku region, Grodno Oblast and Hokkaido region, Minsk Oblast and Akita Prefecture.
