MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) - President of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Tamas Ajan has been awarded with the Medal For Outstanding Service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus, BelTA learnt from the NOC press service.

The honorary award was presented by First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee Maxim Ryzhenkov on behalf of NOC President Alexander Lukashenko.

During his visit to the NOC headquarters the IWF President made an entry to the Distinguished Visitors’ Book, thanked the Belarusian side for a good organization of the meeting and assured Chairman of the Belarusian Weightlifting Union Yuri Senko in further close cooperation in the implementation of various projects.
