Ivashka progresses into Gijon Open round two

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 70 Ilya Ivashka went off to a good start at the 2022 Gijon Open, seeing off world number 415 Feliciano Lopez of Spain, 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-4 in two hours and 20 minutes, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian will next play Russia’s world number 9 Andrey Rublev.

The tournament in Gijon will be over on 16 October.
