Israel government approves visa-free regime with Belarus

MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – The government of Israel approved a visa-free regime with Belarus on 16 August, Israeli media inform.

In line with the agreement a citizen of one state can enter the other state with a national passport and visa free. A person can stay on the territory of the other state up to 90 days within six months from the date of the entry.

The document was signed for a period of one year and will be prolonged automatically until one party informs the other on its intention to withdraw.

The agreement on visa-free trips between Belarus and Israel will enter into force 90 days after the exchange of diplomatic notes on the ratification by the parliaments of the two countries.

The bilateral agreement on visa-free regime was signed in Minsk on 19 September 2014. It was planned that the agreement will come into force in late 2014. The deadline was extended due to the early parliamentary elections in Israel.
