MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – A new building of Iran’s Embassy in Belarus will open in Minsk on 17 February, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.
It is expected that Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif will take part in the opening ceremony of the embassy and a diplomatic reception timed to Iran’s National Day.
As was informed, the Iranian Foreign Minister is on an official working visit to Belarus on 16-18 February. The program of the visit includes the diplomat’s meetings with Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov, Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Mikhail Myasnikovich, Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. “The meetings will consider the issues of the current international agenda, coordinate positions of the two countries in the international arena, discuss further development of the Belarusian-Iranian cooperation,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.
