MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) - The international science congress "Sports injuries: Prevention, treatment, recovery" has opened at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the NOC.
The congress has brought together medical experts from a number of countries. Opening remarks were delivered by Vice President of the Belarusian NOC Dmitry Dovgalenok, Deputy Sport and Tourism Minister Aleksandr Baraulya and Director of the National Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics Mikhail Gerasimenko.
The congress that will be running on 15-16 December will focus on the best practices in high-tech diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries; accounting and analysis of damage using information technology; sports nutrition; development of physical qualities using the method of vibration stimulation and so on.
The program of the congress also includes an international science conference "Innovative technologies in diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries", exhibitions of Belarusian enterprises, presentations of R&D and technical solutions in sports medicine, workshops in optical-topographic and tensometric analysis of body motion.
