MINSK, 25 December (BelTA) – An international Christmas expo opened in Minsk on 27 December. It will run at the Palace of Arts in Minsk until 5 January, BelTA learned from the organizers of the event.
The expo has brought together more than a hundred participants from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Serbia, Greece, and Israel. They represent monasteries, convents, churches and publishing houses. The items on display include icons, churchware, audio and video goods for children and adults, and an extensive range of religious books and Christmas souvenirs.
Visitors to the expo are invited to buy gifts for their friends and relatives, learn about Orthodox Christian customs and traditions, meet with priests, writers and actors, craft a present at the Christmas workshop, and enjoy an exhibition of children’s drawings. The program of the expo also features puppet theater performances for children
The expo showcases handicraft goods from ceramics, Gzhel porcelain, natural stones, and wood. The products on sale also include Pavlovsky Posad and Orenburg shawls, and other souvenirs and gifts.
