MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) - India interested in broader presentation of its traditions and culture in Belarus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Pankaj Saxena said at a press conference dedicated to India’s national holiday - the Independence Day, BelTA has learned.
He noted that this year Belarus and India celebrate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations. A visit of a delegation of Belarusian artists to Indian cities was dedicated to this date.
A festival of Indian culture in the Upper Town in Minsk will be held on 27 August. The event will feature an Indian dance group, and the country’s traditions, in particular, the Indian wedding ceremony. The Ambassador also stressed that Belarus marks the International Day of Yoga which attracts more and more participants.
