Ilya Ivashka wins Istanbul Challenger

MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 129 Ilya Ivashka won the Istanbul Challenger Ted Open, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian defeated world number 168 Martin Klizan of Slovakia 6-1, 6-4 in the final on 25 October. On his way to the victory, Ilya Ivashka solved two Turkish players - Ergi Kirkin (503) 6-2, 6-4 and Cem Ilkel (215) 6-2, 6-2, saw off Kazakhstan’s world number 173 Dmitry Popko 6-4, 6-0 and beat France’s world number 191 Bejamin Bonzi 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
