OSTROVETS, 16 November (BelTA) – A 3-star hotel was officially unveiled in the town of Ostrovets.
Sun Hotel is the first facility of a kind in Ostrovets. It was build with the participation of a Turkish company which invested about $12 million in the project.
“Ostrovets is a young, rapidly growing town. Such places are lucrative for investments. Other investors should take note. Belarus has a good investment climate. Here they understand what an investor wants and how to help him,” Sedat Igdeci, the president of the business association Turkish Capital, said.
The hotel can accommodate over 100 guests. The 6-story building has more than 60 rooms: single and double, VIP-rooms. The construction of a restaurant, a pizzeria, a conference room, fitness parlor, sports halls is underway.
“More than 100 jobs have been created. Mostly young people from Ostrovets have been employed. Wages are good,” said Sedat Igdeci. The Turkish investor is implementing other projects in the district, the economy department informed. One of them is the construction of a roadside service facility featuring a filling gas station, a motel, a shop and a cafe in the vicinity of the on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border point.Kotlovka crossing point
