MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – HC Meshkov Brest reached the 2020 SEHA – Gazprom League final tournament after defeating Motor Zaporozhye 33-28 on Thursday, BelTA has learned.
In the first leg on 4 March the Belarusian champions celebrated a 30-28 victory over the Ukrainian side.
League's best scorer Mikita Vailupau scored eight goals to make it a total of 103 this season. Barys Pukhouski on the other side netted seven for Motor while Maxim Babichev added four.
PPD Zagreb is the first finalist. The Croatian team has beat Tatran Presov 25-21 (away) and 28-16 (at home).
The winners of the quarterfinals will face each other in the Final Four which is due to take place in Zadar, Croatia on 3-5 April.
RK Vardar defeated PPD Zagreb 26-23 in the final to win their fifth title in the 2018-2019 SEHA League season. HC Meshkov Brest claimed bronze, defeating Nexe 24-19.
