MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – Katsiaryna Halkina of Belarus clinched two medals at the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup 2021 in Sofia, Bulgaria, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.
The Belarusian won the all-around silver with the total of 90.55 points, finishing behind Bulgaria's Tatyana Volozhanina. Aryna Krasnarutskaya of Belarus placed 10th.
Katsiaryna Halkina also claimed silver with the Clubs (23.2 points), finishing after Tatyana Volozhanina (24.45) once again. The Belarusian placed fourth in the routines with the Hoop and the Ball.
Belarusian junior Elizaveta Zorkina clinched silver with the Ball (21.35 points), placing behind Italy’s Alice Taglietti (21.75). The belarusian athlete also collected bronze with the Ribbon (18.15), finishing behind Italy’s Viola Sella (19.45) and Russia’s Anna Popova (19.2). Elizaveta Zorkina placed fifth in the all-around event, Belarus’ Alina Rechkina – 20th.
The Belarusian junior team finished fourth in the group event, after Israel, Poland, and Bulgaria. Belarus placed 8th in the final with Five Balls and 5th in the Five Ribbons routine.
Competing at the tournament in Bulgaria were more than 200 athletes from 25 countries.
