GRODNO, 24 April (BelTA) – The Grodno State University will take part in the events of the international contest Online EXPO 2017 in Kazakhstan. The university’s participation in the international competition has been agreed on during the working visit to Kazakhstan, Rector of the Grodno State University Andrei Korol told a briefing on 23 April, BelTA informs.
The Grodno State University got an invitation to take part in the contest during the visit to the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The competition will be held for the first time since 1851. The event is aimed at the preliminary selection of innovations and projects for EXPO 2017. The winners will have a chance to display their projects at the exhibition of the international forum Energy of the Future and find investors.
As was stressed at the briefing, it is a good opportunity for the Grodno university in particular and the education system of the region in general.
While on a visit to Kazakhstan, the delegation of the Grodno State University signed a number of agreements on cooperation with five Kazakhstan’s establishments of higher education: the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University, S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University, the Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Al Farabi National University, and the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism.
Concrete cooperation projects and agreements will be signed after a return visit of the Kazakh delegation to Grodno. The agreements will prioritize the development of academic mobility, i.e. students spending several terms in the partner university, internship for Kazakh candidates for a master’s degree in the Grodno State University, participation in summer student camps.
