GRODNO, 3 November (BelTA) – A tourist information center of Grodno was launched in Bialystok on 3 November, Tatiana Lidyaeva, deputy head of the sport and tourism department of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, told BelTA.
The tourist information center dedicated to Grodno and Grodno Oblast is located in the building of the Opera and Philharmonic Society in the Polish city of Bialystok.
“Here residents and visitors of Bialystok will learn all necessary information about tourist opportunities of Grodno and the surrounding area, the most interesting tourist sites, get contacts of travel companies, hotels and other facilities. Here they will be able to get information booklets, maps and other printed products, get answers to all of the questions and learn more about the rules of visa-free entry to the Augustow Canal Park,” Tatyana Lidyaeva said.
“A similar tourism center of Poland’s Podlaskie Province was opened in Grodno a week ago. Such centers will help attract more visitors, advance joint tourism products,” Tatyana Lidyaeva stressed.
She emphasized a growing interest in the region from so-called visa-free tourists. As of 2 November, almost 110 foreigners booked visa-free trips to Belarus. The majority of them were from Poland and Lithuania. Grodno was also visited visa-free by citizens of France, Spain and Belgium.
