Grodno to host international street theater festival 27-28 June
GRODNO, 5 June (BelTA) – Grodno will host an international festival of street theaters on 27 to 28 June, BelTA learned from the department for ideology, culture, and youth affairs at the Grodno City Hall.
Partaking in the forum will be fringe theaters from Minsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Vitebsk, Zhlobin, Baranovichi, Brest, Lida, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Donetsk. The theatrical companies will perform in different genres. The audience will enjoy dumb shows, fire shows, living statue performances and music concerts.
The festival will open with a procession that will be followed by a concert in the Gilibert Park in Grodno. The Swiss valley will immerse the visitors in the fascinating world of knights. The evening program features fire shows near the Grodno Youth Center.
The entertainment program will run from 4 p.m. on 27 June till around 1 a.m. on 28 June. On the second festival day, the participants will hold workshops on the art of dumb show and fire show. The organizers have also prepared a rock concert on the summer stage in the Gilibert Park.
The festival has been organized with the support of the Grodno City Hall, the Grodno Culture Center, and the fire theater Ergo Bibamus.
