MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – The Great Patriotic War Museum in Minsk draws over 30,000 visitors per month, Belarusian First Deputy Culture Minister Irina Driga said at the meeting of the Culture Ministry on 26 March, BelTA has learned.
The opening of the new building of the Great Patriotic War Museum on 2 July 2014 was a landmark event in the life of the country, Irina Driga noted. The museum actively uses modern multimedia technologies.
The exhibition project Victors – Together in Art! jointly held by the Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Moscow in 2014 had a great feedback. The next joint project will be exhibition We were Together in the Fight Against Nazism to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. The exhibition will open in Moscow on 28 April 2015.
Irina Driga also praised the contribution of the Brest Fortress Memorial to the patriotic education of people. In 2014 the complex prepared exposition Museum of War - Territory of Peace and was awarded a special price of the Belarusian President.
