MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University and Sichuan University have reached a cooperation agreement, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.

“Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy has visited Sichuan University and had a meeting with its President, Li Yanrong. The sides have signed a cooperation agreement and have agreed to set up a Center of Belarusian Studies at Sichuan University,” the embassy noted.

The Belarusian ambassador has given a lecture to Sichuan University students on Belarus’ participation in the Belt and Road initiative. The students have shown interest in Belarus-China cooperation and asked questions on the advantages of the Belarusian higher education and the country’s tourism opportunities.
