MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – The winners and nominees of the Golden Globes 2016, one of the most prestigious cinema awards, will be screened at Minsk cinema houses, BelTA learned from Kinovideoprokat film distribution company of the Minsk City Hall.
Quentin Tarantino’s new film The Hateful Eight, which received the Golden Globe for Best Original Score, and Ryan Kugler’s Creed (best supporting actor award for Sylvester Stallone) will be on at Minsk cinema houses till 27 January.
The local cinemas will be screening the adventure drama The Revenant by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu till 3 February. The movie took home Best Picture (Drama), Best Director, and Best Actor (Drama). From 21 January till 3 February Minsk cinemas will be running The Big Short which was nominated in three categories: Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy; Best Actor in a Motion Picture, and Best Screenplay.
The lineup of films to be screened in Minsk cinemas also includes Joy (Jennifer Lawrence honored as Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy), and Brooklyn (Saoirse Ronan nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama). The films will be on till 10 February. The nominees The Danish Girl will be playing in the Minsk cinemas till 17 February and Spotlight till 24 February.
The Golden Globe Award is an American accolade bestowed by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) recognizing excellence in film and television, both domestic and foreign.
