MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Anastasiya Prokopenko of Belarus claimed gold at the 2021 UIPM World Modern Pentathlon Championships in Cairo, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
The Belarusian scored a total of 1,353 points to win the event. Second was Elodie Clouvel of France (1,341 points). Bronze went to Hungary’s Michelle Gulyas (1,339 points).
The Belarusian won the event in Tokyo in 2018 and clinched bronze at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
In 2019 the event was won by Olga Silkina of Belarus.
