MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) - Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili has been awarded the diploma of Honorary Professor of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), BelTA has learned.
The title of Honorary Professor has been awarded to the Georgian leader in recognition of his great contribution to the development of friendly ties with Belarus and partner relations with the university in the field of education, science and production.
Giorgi Margvelashvili thanked the university for this decision and assured that he will always support cooperation between Georgia and Belarus, as well as between universities of the two countries.
“Yesterday and today we talked with the Belarusian President about the opportunities that exist in our countries. It would be just wrong not to develop our cooperation,” the Georgian leader said.
