MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – The German mobile cinema Wanderkino will visit Mir Castle on 2 September, BelTA learnt from PR specialist of the Mir Castle Complex Museum Anait Arzumanyan.
In her words, the complex will host an open-air film screening with a violin (Tobias Rank) and piano (Gunthard Stephan) live music. The audience will be offered films of Charlie Chaplin, the most famous comedian of the 20th century, and also of American actor and film director Harold Lloyd, famous for his silent comedy films.
Wanderkino is a mobile cinema project screening silent movies of different genres. The oldtimer fine engine Magirus Deutz (1969) carries cinematographic equipment, tools, chairs and other necessary furniture, secures lighting and sound.
Since 1999 the Wanderkino truck has toured the whole Germany, and also travelled to France, Slovenia, Poland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Romania, Moldova, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Austria, Slovakia and Switzerland. This year Wanderkino will visit Belarus for the first time.
