MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili visited the Belarusian State Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War on 1 March, BelTA has learned.
The Georgian leader examined the permanent exhibition in the museum. He took a live interest in the exhibits, particularly those demonstrating deeds committed by Georgians during Belarus’ liberation in the years of the Great Patriotic War.
Giorgi Margvelashvili left a note in the distinguished visitors’ book: “Glory be eternal for the heroes, who sacrificed their lives to save mankind from the greatest disaster. We and future generations will always remember and honor these names.”
Official talks between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili took place in the Palace of Independence on 1 March. While in Belarus Giorgi Margvelashvili is expected to meet with members of the government and the parliament and visit organizations and social and cultural institutions.
