MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – Internet access via Wi-Fi technology has been improved in the Minsk National Airport, the airport’s press service told BelTA.
The new Wi-Fi network AirportMinsk is available to passengers and visitors of the airport as of 2 May. They are free to enjoy Internet access free of charge on one device for three hours every day. “It is exactly the time departing passengers spend on the average at the airport taking into account all the preflight procedures. Arriving passengers spend even less than that,” explained the press service. The Wi-Fi network is available virtually in the entire passenger terminal.
Meanwhile, the free wireless network MSQcatering keeps working in business lounges and the VIP lounge.
To access the Internet, users will have to send an SMS via any mobile carrier, including a foreign one, provided roaming is enabled.
In the past users outside the MSQcatering network (VIP and business lounges, the auxiliary premises, the Liner restaurant, and a public catering outlet) could enjoy only 15 minutes of free Internet access from Beltelecom. Internet users could also buy an access card by producing their personal identification documents (a passport, a residence permit, or a refugee identification card).
