BAKU, 13 June (BelTA) – Soslan Daurov of Belarus claimed the 59kg Greco-Roman Wrestling silver at the ongoing 1^st European Games in Baku. In the final he lost to Russia’ Stepan Maryanyan, BelTA informs.

On his way to the podium Soslan Daurov beat Ukraine’s Dmitro Kosenok 4-0 and France’s Tarik Belmadani 3-1. In the quarterfinal the Belarusian wrestler was too strong for Germany’s Deniz Menekse 4-0 and defeated Moldova’s Victor Ciobanu 3-1 in the semifinal.

Bronze went to Elman Mukhtarov of Azerbaijan and France’s Taril Belmadani after winning in the repechage.
