BAKU, 13 June (BelTA) – Soslan Daurov of Belarus claimed the 59kg Greco-Roman Wrestling silver at the ongoing 1st European Games in Baku. In the final he lost to Russia’ Stepan Maryanyan, BelTA informs.
On his way to the podium Soslan Daurov beat Ukraine’s Dmitro Kosenok 4-0 and France’s Tarik Belmadani 3-1. In the quarterfinal the Belarusian wrestler was too strong for Germany’s Deniz Menekse 4-0 and defeated Moldova’s Victor Ciobanu 3-1 in the semifinal.
Bronze went to Elman Mukhtarov of Azerbaijan and France’s Taril Belmadani after winning in the repechage.
