MINSK, 5 August (BelTA) – Yana Nesterova of Belarus clinched bronze in high diving at the ongoing 2015 FINA World Championship, BelTA informs.
Following two compulsory 2.6 and 3.4 jumps from a 20-meter tower the Belarusian shared the second position with Cesilie Carlton of the United States (145.70 points). Yana Nesterova performed a 3.8 attempt in the third decisive round to earn 87.40 points (233.1 points in total). The winner of the competition, Rachelle Simpson of the United States claimed gold with her 4.0 final attempt (102 points; 258.70 points in total). Her fellow compatriot Cesilie Carlton scored 91.65 points (237.35 points in total) in a 3.9 attempt to take silver.
