MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – FC BATE Borisov is one step closer to the UEFA Champions league group stage. On 19 July the Belarusian club tied the second-leg game against the Finnish Seinajoki 2:2, and on aggregate advanced into the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
Alexander Karnitsky and Alexei Rios struck inside the first 30 minutes for BATE but Ariel Ngueukam replied before the break and Roope Riski tied the game up on 61 minutes.
FC Borisov BATE won the first-leg match 2:0 and will play either Iceland’s FH or Dundalk from Ireland. They will play on 20 July. Their first encounter ended in a draw 1:1.
