MOSCOW, 1 July (BelTA) – An exhibition Brest Street Leads Us to the West has been opened in the Kaliningrad Oblast History and Art Museum. It is timed to the 75th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders, the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia told BelTA.
The exhibition features combat banners, WW2 weapons, personal belongings of participants of those events, rare photos, which are related to Belarus, from collections of the Kaliningrad museum and the Russian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents. The unique photos will allow visitors to see the daily life of soldiers and officers from up close and personal. They will be able to feel the war from the inside and comprehend its tragedy. The exposition is enhanced by high-tech interactive content, which allows bringing the photos to life by means of mobile devices.
During the opening ceremony the head of the Kaliningrad Branch of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia Sergei Molunov presented a thank you letter from the Belarusian Culture Ministry to the museum director. The director is thanked for a considerable contribution to the advancement of Belarus-Russia cultural cooperation.
