MOSCOW, 1 April (BelTA) – An exhibition Youth of the Union State: Grandeur of the Creative Legacy of Belarus and Russia will be opened in the building of the Russian Federation State Duma in Moscow on 2 April, the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia told BelTA.
The exhibition is timed to the Day of Unity of Peoples of Belarus and Russia. The exhibition has been arranged upon the initiative of the Youth Chamber under the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia with assistance of the CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots Committee of the State Duma. The exhibition will feature folk art works and is designed to foster patriotic upbringing and enlightenment by means of presenting traditional decorative and applied art works created by young Belarusians and Russians. Members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, and the Parliamentary Assembly’s Youth Chamber are expected to take part in the exhibition’s opening ceremony.
Events timed to the celebration of the Unity Day will continue in the State Duma as part of the panel discussion on modern approaches to preserving traditions of peoples of Belarus and Russia.
