Exhibition celebrating Great Victory to open in Belarus’ National Library

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – A historical and documentary exhibition “The Way to Victory: The Historical Sources Testify” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War will open in the Atrium Gallery on 17 March, BelTA has learned from Belarus’ National Library.

The exposition consists of 30 sketch-boards featuring photographs, documents, maps, posters, periodicals, banners, sketches, award sheets and other materials about the liberation movement in Eastern Europe.

“The unique materials, including those kept under wraps for a long time, describe the combat actions, the morale of the Red Army units. The exhibition presents the information about the interaction with local government bodies to restore infrastructure and establish peaceful life, about humanitarian assistance provided by Soviet soldiers to the local population,” Belarus’ National Library said.

The exhibition will stay open until 6 April.
