MINSK, 23 July (BelTA) – Egor Gerasimov of Belarus won the President’s Cup in Astana, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian world number 160 defeated Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan (world No.118) 7-6 (11-9), 4-6, 6-4 in the deciding game.
On the way to the final Egor Gerasimov beat Andrei Golubev of Kazakhstan 6-1, 6-1, Cem Ilkel of Turkey 6-2, 6-3, Evgeny Donskoy of Russia 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 and Aldin Setkic of Bosnia and Herzegovina 6-3, 6-2.
This season 24-year-old Egor Gerasimov has also won three tournaments: in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara and Qarshi, and in France’s Saint-Brieuc.
