MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – Measures taken in Belarus have helped prevent 840 cases of the coronavirus infection per day, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Healthcare Minister Yelena Bogdan.
The official said: “The situation remains under control. Our epidemiologists estimate that the measures we’ve been taking since late January 2020 have allowed preventing 840 cases per day so far.”
The measures are designed to detect patients with the coronavirus infection, track their contacts and hospitalize first-tier contacts in addition to implementing antiepidemic precautions all over the country. Otherwise, Belarus would not have been different from neighboring countries as far as the epidemic situation is concerned.
So far 351 cases of the coronavirus infection have been registered in Belarus. The situation remains under control.
